A group by residents, for the residents
Our Partners
Newlands Community Group have developed a good working relations with other organisations. Below are a list of businesses that maybe useful.
Government
Agencies
We may not always like what they say but the fact is that the government agencies such as councils and regulatory bodies are here to stay, so we need them to work with us.
Newlands Community Group has no political affiliations or any religious bias, and therefore is able to offer a balanced perspective of situations as they arise.
We have been busy building bridges along that mindset with both Havant Borough Council, and Separately with Winchester City Council and Hampshire County Council. These councils hold vested interests in what happens in the Newlands and Berewood area.
Locally, this will be administered by the Newlands Parish Council.
Developers
and Constructors
We also have to accept the fact that for the foreseeable future, this area is going to be one giant building site.
This is why we have built a good working relationship with,
Environmental Organisations
You may not know that this beautiful location is also a nature reserve, with many declining species of wildlife and fauna.
Including Newts, Butterflies, Swifts and Badgers to name a few
To ensure that these environmental issues are held in check, and also to ensure that the human impact on nature is regulated and monitored, we have formed alliances with a number of organisations,
Among which are,
The Hampshire and Isle of Wight wildlife trust, of which we are now members under their Team Wilder Scheme.
Badger Trust and Swift Conservation organisations.
Other Groups and Organisations
We have also managed to garner relationships with the following;
Berewood primary school and PTA
Headway - Supporting people with brain injuries.
MIND - Supporting people with mental health issues
Departments of the NHS
Waterlooville Community Centre
To name a few on our growing list of organisations which we are bringing into our community.
